Mixed Jazz

Jazz is an absolute thought-swirler. I’d written pick-up agent, but that’s not really it. It just gets your machinery going, gets the cogs moving. The best way to go is to mix your jazz a lot. Too much Coltrane and your head hurts from trying to figure out progressions. Too much Shirley Bassey and you end up being too grinny to get anything good done. And too much Dave Brubeck and you just plainly fall asleep.

Certain revelations just make the whole day worth it.

I agree completely! But I dont think I'm a jazz person becoz I've found I cant listen to more than an hour of it at a time. It tugs at too much of my mental faculty to allow it to just play in the background somehow.

Try some alternate jazz. I found this number by Mother Earth. It's called Jesse. Very late-night, red wine type of music.

I think I used to know you and your blog. And vice-versa. Hmm.
But that apart, very succintly-written post, and prolly accurate too for those who aren't rabid listeners of jazz.

@TUIB Exactly. Try mixing jazz. Never tugs, that way :)
@Jahnavi Will listen, as soon as I find the right setting!
@Anushka Thank you. Jazz is the exact opposite of the thumb rule of alcohol - ALWAYS mix :)
